Configure the AddToAny module

April 30, 2010 by Steve

The AddToAny service lets you link your website content to Digg, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and any number of other services for sharing and promoting your stuff. The AddToAny module embeds a link to the service into each of your nodes, so that you don't have to do it by hand. (See also the Service Links module, which provides the same sort of function. I tried them both and went with AddToAny mostly because of how it looked. I'm shallow that way.)

The Site Configuration > AddToAny page gives you all the settings. I applied the link to all my page types except weblinks, at least for now. I checked the boxes for Teasers and the Link Section but not content. That keeps the AddToAny link down in the corner of the page where I want it.

You also need to visit User Management > Permissions and grant "view addtoany" to Anonymous users, otherwise nobody can see it.
